Hello world, its been long since I last posted a blog(as usual). So you might not be aware of my whereabouts and happenings in life. Currently I am in Chennai, battling out recession as well as the hot climate here. Chennai was the last place I wanted (thought) to be in. What to say, when fate puts a plate before you with chennai, ether take it or have nothing. So here I am in Chennai for last 10 months , since my last post and still remembering those Mumbai days , which appears as if happened yesterday.
Today is special to write such a remembrance of mumbai days. Yes its the anniversary of the worst terror strike in India, that hit the heart of its financial capital one year back. And we were there that time enjoying the marvel called Mumbai. Those 3 months we were like being in heaven. From all the bad impressions one can have about mumbai, being land of underworld, slums, regionalism we 21 mallus from various parts of kerala came together and found a dream land there. I can't blame Siemens too much, considering the training period enjoyment we had. Hardly any thought about the storm in waiting.
I had blogged about the recession three posts back, but still never dreamed it hitting me so soon and hard. The thunder of recession hit and those 21 friends were thrown apart to various directions. Most of them have reached some shores (bangalore, chennai, cochin , a few fortunate in mumbai), but some are yet to recover. For some their life itself got redirected, some went for higher studies, some went to management side, one went out of country etc. We can't blame anybody when the whole world itself is in such a state, but hope that the positives of recovery have started. Still these cannot reverse the damage done to many lives. But this itself is the part of life and it may be good to learn such lessons early.
Last year this time we were out of Mumbai for an outbound, and this news awaited us on getting back. It was horrible to see those places we visited just 3 days back, coming under blood shed and that being shown live in television. Some of my colleagues were fortunate to get away in the last train that left Cst before attack happened. We used to often discuss just after coming there of Mumbai being the next target to blasts. But such proximity and severity was never expected. Mumbai is one city which symbolizes India and it has shown that by recovering fast and strongly. Let me pay my tribute to that land and to those lives which were sacrificed there.
